Turtle Learn was born from the frustration—and hope—of its founders: a group of passionate educators from the Education University of Hong Kong (ranked 4th in Asia for education by QS), technologists, and parents determined to transform how children learn Chinese.

The idea began when the founders reflected on their own painful experiences learning Chinese—hours of rote memorization, repetitive drills, and overwhelming workbooks. Despite the effort, the results were often poor. Even more striking, this outdated method of teaching had barely changed and was still the norm in today's modern classrooms. Children were disengaged. Parents were exhausted. And meaningful progress felt elusive.

Determined to change this, the team drew inspiration from child-centric philosophies like the Montessori method—where learning is hands-on, joyful, and self-directed. They began designing tactile learning kits paired with a digital platform, allowing children to explore Mandarin in a playful and immersive way.

The result was the Turtle Learn Method: a seamless blend of physical and digital learning, guided by AI and grounded in educational research. Children learn at their own pace. Parents receive progress updates without needing to micromanage. And most importantly, learning Chinese becomes something children look forward to.

What started as a personal mission is now a trusted system embraced by thousands of families across Asia—and it's only the beginning.
